Position Summary: An Insurance Sales Agent is responsible for generating new business by identifying client needs and recommending appropriate insurance solutions. This role focuses on building relationships, educating clients on coverage options, and guiding them through the purchasing process to ensure proper financial protection. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, highly communicative, and driven to grow both their personal production and the agency’s overall revenue.

Objectives:

Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, and community engagement.

Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify client risks and coverage gaps.

Present customized insurance solutions that align with client financial protection goals and agency coverage standards.

Meet or exceed monthly and annual new business production targets.

Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects and follow up on leads promptly.

Educate clients on coverage options, policy limits, and the importance of adequate protection.

Cross-sell and bundle policies to increase client value and strengthen account protection.

Accurately prepare quotes, proposals, and applications in accordance with agency standards and carrier guidelines.

Maintain detailed and organized client records within the agency’s software systems.

Build long term relationships with clients to encourage retention and referrals.

Collaborate with service team members to ensure smooth onboarding and client excellence.

Stay informed on carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and market changes.

Participate in sales meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Represent the agency professionally in all client interactions and community activities.

Uphold compliance with licensing requirements and all applicable insurance regulations.
